Poker rooms offer a wide range of bonuses to attract new players. Newer poker rooms often have the largest bonuses, and the older more established rooms usually have the normal $50 or 120% bonuses. The fact of the matter is that in order to clear your bonus, you will need to play a certain number of raked hands at the given poker room.
Raked hands are hands that you participate in where the poker room gets to take a rake from the pot. This is how the poker room is making money. The rake is usually small and for the most part wont exceed a few dollars for a large pot. By making raked hand requirements, the poker rooms are covering their expenses before they give you the money.
So why is it so hard to get that bonus? The more competitive the bonus is, the more raked hands are required to claim it. Some poker rooms use a points system to let you achieve your bonus, so for every x number of points, you get x dollars released towards your bonus.
As a webmaster I get emails from time to time asking me if I know of any reload bonus codes for any poker rooms. No poker rooms that I know of have any bonus codes that will give you a bonus on your second deposit. However, some poker rooms will offer you a comeback bonus. This is when you suddenly receive a $20 deposit in your account and you must play x number of raked hands in order to be able to cash out the money.
The poker rooms do this to keep you playing at their room.
